A Killing Spree System
#1
I think that an added killing spree system would be very nice. I mean nothing fancy just whenever somebody get +3 kills in a row without dying the game might be able to shout something (like the same way it works in dota). When the game runs out of qoutes to say for sprees just make it say "Beyond Godlike." (the last normal qoute being Godlike) Also increase the bounty of the people passively who are on extremely long kill streaks to make it more worth it to hunt those who are feeding like crazy. I don't know if this is hard to script or not but the same system has worked for the killing more than one tank in a short period of time. It just works so well for other games maybe it should be added for btanks too.

Battle Tanks reflected has such a system.

the kill-death ratio already depends your bounty, so if you got many kills and few deaths, your bounty already is higher.

i think there are enough games with sucha system, we dont need to add to battle tanks, too. especially since some people think its a dota-clone.

Well - I would give at least the counting a chance so I vote yes.

If it unbalances Tank killing value, we can delete it then cant we?

I agree. Implementing killing spree system may make the average BT game last a little longer. Also bounty will change depending on kill-deaths ratio, so we don't need an "additional" killing system on top on this.

Although I added such system in my BT mod to experiment with the killing spree system, I discovered it did significantly surprise the players in the game and some of them kinda got insulted and says this is not same as dota, why?

But if such system should be implemented, I think maybe the gold bonus would be.

5 kills in a row without deaths = 100 gold (Killing Spree)
10 kills in a row without deaths = 200 gold (Dominating)
15 kills in a row without deaths = 300 gold (Rampage)
20 kills in a row without deaths = 400 gold (Ownage Run)
25 kills in a row without deaths = 500 gold (Monstrosity)
100 gold every 5 kills streak + and so on.... (Inhuman)

When you die, this will be reseted.

If a bonus should be awarded for killing a spree killer, a player must have minimum 5 kill streak. Maybe 40 gold bonus bounty pr streak (5,10,15,20...) (Not affecting the bounty direct perhaps, but as a extra line)

I think that instituting a system that widens the gap between a good player and a bad player will shrink your player base.

who ever says b-tanks is a dota clone never played both.. no tank has a "normal" attack dmg. i think that is the most important difference.

i voted yes because i liked the system in tkf mod =)
it should be an bonus same as for double,tripple,.. kills
example:
player red has already 3 kills and did not died since he mad the first kill, now he kills 2 other players:
normal bounty for kill(x)+double kill bonus(200)+spree bonus for 5 kills in a row(100 is good i think)

edit:

it would not wide the gap that much if the spree player gives the same bonus as the spree, he is on.
Player on:
Killing Spree=gives 100 additional bounty
Dominating=gives 200 additional bounty
Rampage=...300...
Ownage Run=...400...
Monstrosity=...500...
Inhuman= ...500...+100 gold for every 5 kills more

Well, if a player kill 25 enemy tanks in a row !!! (that means without dying Big Grin ) isnĀ“t he imba already ??? Confusedhock:

even 15 kills in a row means a huge gap. What gameplay you can destroy then ? (a bonus of 20 Extra gold/ kill is less than a big creep and only if you manage killing 5 players in a row ^^)

BTW, in dota everyone got his special ability hero even with agi, str, int points and you have got fog of war; and there are no COntrol Points. Also there are not phoenix fire ability weapons for fighting.

I missed the point where BT is like dotaWink

u'll screw the exploder by getting rid of the current system for this one.

I don't think so...I've gotten a 20 kill spree with the exploder, which is more than I've ever gotten with a regular tank. Reconstruction FTW!

EDIT: And yes, I mean without dying, I got reconstruction 5 times in a row.
You may notice that some of my posts are somewhat disconnected in their ideas and don't really flow that well. That's because my mind drifts around like a jellyfish in a strong ocean current. You just lost the game.

Exploder sometimes dies, so he doesn't get much killing sprees. Very unlikely that he get even one, since dying resets your streak!

But he would probably be very good at ending killing sprees on the other hand in this case. Also very unlikely he get a 5 killing streak without dying (with some luck of reconstruct, maybe 1 time or so)
