Air Tanks has very superior mobility - Suggestions

Heli's, Airship and Sky Tanks have superior mobility despite a small loss of their hp compared to the price. Thus the superior air mobility is worth the money. Also all air tanks has the speed skill which also increased their speed like hell. Air can easily hunt down tanks, unless they have Speed-Upgrade. Ground Tanks need speed-upgrade in order to be as fast as air tanks. Air tanks don't need this item. Air tanks is less likely to die when they can easily outrun a ground tank. Air vs Air where the most skilled will win. Also air tanks is the worst enemy of the trader. Air tanks is very superior.

Suggestions:
SAM Site (model Ziggurat or guard tower... or something better)

Add a new tower called SAM Site or something. That could cost... eh 3000 gold (other price maybe). Weak vs ground and fire rockets at air units. Also Air units can easily fly around a tower. So maybe 1500 range could be unique to this tower. It should do 550 dmg pr sec. (as a passive cloned phoenix fire ability added to the tower, sort of rocket battery skill, and also a passiv "bogus" ability to describe was weapon is implanted in the SAM Site). and normal weak arrow attack or similar or sokme other attack type as normal to do dmg against both air and ground (half the strength of normal Cannon Tower), so the troops find it dangerous. (Troops prefer troops cuz tanks do not have normal attack). I doesn't like that AA Gun has very short range against air.

Maybe add a long range weapon against air, like Aegis Missile Battery System. (1050 or 1300?)

why not just put in or maybe replace a weapon with aim-change (normal to air only) with extra cooldown against air. about 1800G, would be useful for groundunits and on early games too. (yeah posted this idea a while back)

In that case I'd edit an already existing weapon ... an unpopular one, so that the majority of players isn't complaining again ...

Maybe the Grenade Luncher, this weapon is just in the right price class I think and it shouldn't have that much fans that are complaining later about the change ^^

Imo that would be an accaptable change for this problem

Well replacing the grenade launcher and change it to anti air weapon sounds very nice and sounds promising. Big Grin I think it should have a reasonable range. At least 950 maybe. Maybe after you upgraded it, add a change fire mode feature, but then it should do less dmg vs ground. But I don't know what kind of weapon you had in mind. :?

By the way the tower I suggested was a tower that you buy upon a tower ruin, in case you did misunderstand.

Well I prefer to buy grenade launcher cuz it has longer range, glaive thrower is slightly more garbage with a bit less range for a small lesser amount of gold cost.

Also I noticed there is no such thing as Web/air shackles ability in existence in Battle Tanks. What if the blacksmith (I forgot the name), has some web item, that could ensnare Tank flyers.

Anti air tower - useful when the other team only has air tanks
Swarm rockets do 220 dmg pr sec and costs 3300. What if the Anti air tower had 300 dmg pr sec only vs air with range 1500 (or 1300 if you have 1300 range policy in the map) (Well this suggestion might sound to heavy, pehaps less dmg... :? ). That is stationary so I will be worth about 2200 + 800 for the tower which has a additional weak initial attack againts ground and air, with 7500 hp. :?

this sounds like u stole this idea from total annihilation. i like the idea of an anti air torrent, also the silo idea. but the whole thing about the missle being able to track the tank is lame. the tinker should be able to build this silo but only attack at a stationary area.

pretense, i think you misunderstood TKF^^

and the idea of changing the fire mode of anti-air weapons is nice... because they are very effective and a good choice, but everytime you can expect the enemies to buy ground, if you have a good AA gun.. so if you could change it to normal mode, that wouldnt be a too big problem...
should the AA gun / bombs be changed, or another weapon?

btw, are the swarm rockets still the most used weapon? i think there should be an alternative weapon in the middle

Some more cheap weapons would be nice. The rockets and magic should stay. But they need competition from more similarly priced weapons

Maybe we need a AA weapon which has about price class of 3000. which of course can be changed to normal, but will suffer some penalty for attacking ground only.

The problem is what weapon should be replaced?

1: Change devour magic (3333) to light seeker magic (3333) with 999 range and air only as primary choice. after upgrade (1111) it has change weapon mode so it can change fire mode to target ground too!!.
2: Change swarm rockets (3300).... hmmm many favourize this weapon... no!
3: Swap Ice cannon (3000) .... maybe not...
4: Rock catapult, hmmm it's only 1 of 2 anti structure weapons...

...hmmm.... :roll:

@bob666: Regarding another weapon in mid which is about in price class 2000-4000 would be excellent, cuz the is a quite price difference with Swarm Rockets (3300) and Rocket Hail (6000), so many would go for swarm rockets cuz it's a quite versaile weapon at medium price.

just my opinion, if you use that lines for dividing some topics, i often think its your signature and do not read it at first... and not every anti-air weapons have to be heat seeking or something like thatWink

I think it is a good idea to add/replace these weapons:
1. 1000-range weapon for 2000-3000 gold;
mid between basic magic and confusion magic.
2. 1050-range very-cheap(1200-1300) weapon;
electro cannon is good, but it is quite expensive for the beginning.
3. One or two 1050-range very-expensive(10000-30000) weapon;
having 5 artilleries is not enough for past-mid game.
4. One 1300-range weapon for 20000-30000 gold.
acid cannon does not enough.

edit: Sorry, missed rockets for 3300:). But I just don't like them, so I never buy it. Magic(weapon) is much easier to handle because their bolt velocity is slight higher than rockets have. And I often die with rockets:(.
So, a ~2000-gold weapon must be added.
