Here's another one, I played this recently so I'll give some commentary
Light Force comes to an early lead with superior lane and middle play. Daminator forces me to switch heli with great demolisher pressure (he even outfarmed me demo vs light tank ). Dami then buys heavy tank and switches to mid from lane and uses his early level 10 and heavy tank to put pressure on the Dark Force mid. After some failed attempts due to camping by Dark Force, Light Force eventually takes mid (taking an oppurtunity when 1 player goes to buy tank and another is still saving with a weak tier 1 tank). After that a lot of the Light Force players focus heavily on base destorying (troop packs, mortars, teleporters etc) and destory all of the dark force's factories, they never actually manage to capture the other dark force's cps though. Many all out attacks by Light Force give the Dark Force chances to take the side lane cps, however most of the Dark Force base is destoryed in the process. Dark Force manages to make a small comeback after both protective towers are destoryed by taking all but the lower middle cp. However Light Force uses this one cp to continuously make suicide runs on the main base and eventually win.

Hey we're still playing occasionally, If anyone wants to play or watch these games try contacting UnifiedDoom @northrend (europe) in channel Clan BTA. I'm usually around from 21:30-23:30 GMT.
Anyway about the game, it's a long one, about 2 hours in-game time so grab your popcorn. Not much happens early on, interesting 3 air vs. 3 ground play in mid, quick storm tank gives dark force a short advantage but is quickly changed back by heavy tank from Light Force. As usual LioooiL uses fun and interesting strategies (fueled by his early lead on bottom lane). After a long back and forth stalemate involving a lot of middle fights with ganks by the side lane players, Light Force eventually manages to gain momentum by taking the middle cp. Dark Force still manages to keep some control over side cps, and both teams end up taking infernals at relatively the same time. Dark Force can't seem to win any decisive battles even with 2 infernals (gaurd really shines here) and even lose one of their mid spawning factories. In the presence of 4 infernals on both teams many players choose to buy axe launchers. However about 1:20 into the game one of the dark force players dc's (GermanjokerXD). Shortly after one of the Light Force players (Cro_Ownage) agrees to leave the game. In hindsight this was probalbly an unfair trade since GermanjokerXD, while he had an infernal, was one of Dark Force's poorest (in terms of money) players. Cro on the other hand was not the poorest player on Light Force and had Sky Fortress as a cover for axes. Dark Force takes mid back shortly after the player exchange and keeps momentum for the rest of the game. Superior positioning, teamplay, and money ultimately leads Dark Force to victory during the inf-titan phase.

(2012-11-03, 16:17:17)LIoOoOoIL Wrote: Here we go, with a sixths bta clan 4vs4 replay. The Early game here is pretty interesting actually. Helicopter+Antigrav combination allows light force to take an early lead in middle with 2 stuns over Dark Force's Raider+Demo. Bottom lane is pretty standard light tank vs medivac, TC_Mad_Bull (Dark Force Medivac) takes an early lead, but the lane ends up becoming a standard, tier 1 air + hull vs tier 1 air + hull. A thing to note is that like stibi said, both players take storm tank so if anyone is interested in seeing a storm tank mirror and how it works this is a good replay. Now top lane is very interesting this time. It's scout+electro (lioooil) vs heli+plasma (Fighter). I think people underestimate Scout-Elec a lot, lioooil shows here that even with the slow start he still manages to get a quick level lead over his opponent. Fighter invests skill points in heli's bombard (ground only) to nuke the scout, however lioooil takes medivac to nullify this. Fighter makes use of a lot of consumable items here (maintenance, troops, and later nets). However lioooil demonstrates his insane ability to farm and save a ridiculous amount of money on the lane in the early game without losing his lead. He then uses his money to buy something that would get him kicked in a qualify game . There's also a funny play of Fighter using Nets+Bombard to kill lioooil here. lioooil manages to kill fighters tower despite Fighter possessing a mech, but camping+ganking by Light Force players, along with good use of consumable items by Fighter prevents him from taking the cp, lioooil even ends up dying a lot of in the process giving Light Force a bunch of kills. The momentum in the middle shifts as well, antigrav seems to be somewhat lacking during the middle game, despite it's stun and disable (I also ended up making all my spells cost more than my max mana pool whoops ). Also superior teamplay from Dark Force mid, focusing all spells on one player during all the fights. The midgame tank composition in mid ends up being Hunter+Heavy (Dark Force) vs Heavy>>Frost+Sky Tank (light force). Dark Force manages to get a lead in mid here, MC_Ren shows superior play as a hunter. However two players from Light Force have both saved up a lot of money at the 40 minute mark, after some debate they decide to both get frost. At First the game's momentum doesn't change, however eventually Light Force makes use of portable factory cp takes (imba) to take control of most of the cps on the map. The Lategame team composition ends up being: infernal, infernal, sky fort, hunter (Dark Force) vs frost, frost, sky fort, infernal (Light Force). This game actually shows that frost is actually quite good in the lategame, frost+axes can hold it's own against infernals and even titans if played correctly. After a lot of back and forth, titans start appearing, at first from the frosts and hunter, but later the infs as well. The game seems like a virtual stalemate, everytime a team loses a major battle they also end up losing like 2-3 cps. At this point there is a 3/4 vote to -giveup on Light Force, not because of a assured loss but because the game seems endless and people want to sleep. When Dark Force pulls ahead and attacks the Light Force base, fighter uses sneaky mech play to take virtually all of the cps on the map. However after an extremely long game, Dark Force manages to pull out a victory, Swarm of Chaos really shines here, taking out protective towers and the main base extremely quickly.

Sheesh another +120 minute game , well here's the summary
Early on Dark Force achieves minor lane dominance but Light Force major dominance in middle. This game really exhibits the power of light tank repair in 2v2 fights. This victory allows one of Light Force players to get an early frost robot, use of recharge is also demonstrated here. However Light Force loses 2 of their cp towers (mid/top) where dark force loses only 1. Dark Force manage to actually kill off many of the Light Force's towers without actually taking any cps, but momentum doesn't shift until around the 50 min mark when Light Force takes mid despite no infernals being on the field. This momentum also results in the capture of top cp for Light Force. Both teams take infs at around the 1:05 mark to leave the composition infernal, infernal, sky fort, hunter (Dark Force) vs infernal, infernal, frost, hunter (Light Force). Dark Force actually manages to take a lead here with superior teamplay. However at around 1:20 two Light Force players can afford titan where only one Dark Force player can, this edge in titans allows Light Force to gain momentum. The game ultimately comes down to a titan war with 4 titans (Light Force) vs 3 titans+sky fort (Dark Force). In the end it seems as though 100% titans is a superior tank composition in competitive games (Light Force wins), because despite superior mobility sky fortress can't save teammates or stun more than one person, it was also very vulnerable to nets (in this game sky fort during the titanwar got netted in almost every single fight). |
