How bout a little competition ^^

I agree with raptor. It is not about independant "shot" if we consider it in a row. The expected return is a factor that we can take in count.
For example even if each game is independant, if you start x games at same times, your probability to get it is x times higher... Yourself is the link between these game ^_^ making it dependant.
I am so good that I don't even need to type -rc because I never die !

It's not about having games in one row. It's only about the number of games. The Probability to get a specific tank at least one time if you increase the number of games surely increases. But the formula is not correct. Should be calculated with a binomial distribution.

The point is, for one single game the probability will never change. But for sure if you increase the number of games the probability not to get the tank you want will decrease.

I got 7:55 thereabouts. I'll post when someone beats 8:33. haha

post it, even tho it's not faster than 7:39 ;P

(btw it is so much easier with your strat^^)

Quite impressive. I've already beaten that time but it's not worth me posting times that can beat each other by mere seconds. I'll come back when I've broken 7 minutes. I know my strat is capable of doing 6:30. I had the chance at one time but got carried away and went for swarm of chaos. Very bad mistake.

(btw I got 7:36. Lame!)

Edit: I beat it again by 9 seconds. 7:27.
BTW the map is 8.67d and is located in map/downloads
Edit #2: I beat it again by another 3 seconds. 7.24. I hate it when AI has no gold to teleport. Have to time my kills.
Edit #3: Kind of kicking myself at the moment. I got a new record of 6:49 which I didn't save by accident (pressed the space bar). Now I have to do it again. :|
Edit #4: Finally got 6:47. Almost perfect. Stuffed up towards the end during my run up from bottom.

haha I just reinstalled warcraft III on my new PC and I don't have any of these older maps so it won't let me see these games but it sounds like a fun idea.

Is there a safe place where the older map versions can be downloaded?

thanks

if you know the exact version, you may simply edit the download link by putting the version at the end of the url
http://btanks.net/v2/mapdl.php?version=8.70
http://btanks.net/v2/mapdl.php?version=8.69

Rules: Play singleplayer, alone vs. 5 computer opponents, normal mode. Win as fast as you can.

I did this some time ago with version 8.70 but I don't have the replay. Time was about 10 minutes.

Have fun!

@jonjon
If you forgot to save your replay, it's not lost.
Just go to your wc3 folder -> replay folder -> find the lastreplay.w3g file and rename it to whatever you want (exp. btanks.w3g)
Now you saved your replay.

But if you already played another game, the lastreplay file has been overwritten and your old replay is lost.
