A "fixed income" mode would remove this problem for fun game. If each player gets the same amount of gold (like 500 gld/minute), people would less see the problem about feeders. (the difference between fedders/winners would be only experience)
Will people play it? Yes, the fixed income will prevent people from being kicked because there is not reward or loss for dying, but will people like that lack of reward/benefit for dying... I'm not quite so sure.
I do agree though, that a "fun" mode that people will like to play is essential to the community's growth, because not every player is looking to an awesome "pro" at the game. In fact, most new players are simply just looking to have fun, not to perfect their Btanks gameplay.. A newbie has to slowly grow into the game, he have to play the game often, appreciate its dynamics, and slowly develop and refine his skill... It doesn't happen overnight, and it didn't happen by playing against people who kicked me constantly - at least not for me. The problem I see is that there isn't a recreational mode/server for players to experiment with strategies and tinker around with, there is only the league bots and the beta-bot. Annabot use to provide this, but people eventually stopped using that because Alternative wasn't much different than normal, and the league bots were "competitive" and "pro" in a sense.
*Shrug* I do agree we need a "learning mode" or a "recreational mode", a mode where players can experiment with their strategies and refine their skills and without people worrying about their K:D ratio or they League rank.
Note: I think this topic might be better off in General Discussion than Off-Topic, I think it's somewhat important to keep in mind how this community is developing. Feel free to move it back to OT if you feel it appropriate or necessary.
