Ability Sugestion: Block

Block (F)
Makes your tank invulnerable for the next 0.4 seconds. Uses 25% of your current mana.
Cooldown: 75sec

Idea I thinked this as a standart ability for every tank. I guess this would put the game some more skill using and action. It is not abuseable due to short duration and long cooldown but gives every tank a chance to evade a stun, snare, nuke etc..

Idea If you think this is not a good idea to give every tank a skill-evade, then it can be skill for a new tank.:

Block (Q)

Makes your tank invulnerable for 0.4 seconds. Also your tank takes 25% less damage from weapons and abilities for next 2.4 seconds.
Level 1: 40 seconds Cooldown
Level 2: 35 seconds Cooldown
Level 3: 30 seconds Cooldown
Level 4: 25 seconds Cooldown
Level 5: 20 seconds Cooldown

I like it but it increases really a lot the importance of the lagConfused

I don't like it. Makes too many spells useless with no cost. Right now for dodging spells you need to invest money and if you dodge by porter temporary mobility.

Practically it protects weaker tanks from high tier tanks. But needs skill to do that. Its not a Spell Shield which blocks a negative spell every 100sec..

Practically it makes certain tanks totally useless in 1v1 situations when the ping is good. Who wants to play a heavy tank on side lane when he can't stun any more?

FYI: scout initially had a spell block ability which made it kinda imbaConfusedhock:

:o So Teleporter makes HT totally useless? It has 50 sec cd and teleports you and cost only 3k gold and dont need precise timing to evade an attack.

You trade porter cooldown for dodging in addition to the 3k gold. With such a spell you would be able to dodge and still be mobile with porter.

it should cost a % of maximum mana (or a set cost)
If you have no mana at all (or even 1), it shouldn't be a 'free' ability

This ability would also make many tanks immune to exploder damage, or be able to clear mines (with a detector) for no damage.

i agree with the rest of the guys, there needs to be a cost associated.

thats why i suggested the reflex shield, which does exactly the same thing, but you need to buy it, and upgrade it to gain additional abilities

I like the concept of having a block... Perhaps instead of becoming invulnerable it could mitigate 50% of the damage for a short duration?

It could also have three imba towers at one times to soak up all the weapon damage... Good times.
