Special Tanks Cannon

My English has not gotten better... so I have to hope you understand what i want to say.

I have an idea: what about a Special Tank Cannon for weaker Tanks? I mean, when you reach level five with the cannon, there could be some abilities, like poison, slowing, possebility to stun, burning, or whatever you want... Of coure you shouldnt put this in a heavy-tank(or maybe thunder-tank) or highter... But this would make cheaper tanks, like the helicopter or the Light tank more interesting in midgame

So, what do you think?

I think poisen, slow and stun would be too imba. Otherwise a burning effect could be realy nice. What about a little chance to do minor splash damage?

you should already be aware of our opinion concerning special weapons.

plus the problems associated with doing splash damage make it unlikely. I'm not even sure how easy it would be to add other effects such as burning...

weaker tanks can allready be quite interesting in mid/lategame. specially helicopter, medivac and antigrav can be played quite well until sky fortr/inf. buffing their tank cannon would be too imba i guess (at least i wouldn't buy any higher tank anymore^^)
