It's more different in 1v1 compared to 5v5 cuz the force gold u get is much higher in 1v1 so the start weapons do not have as big impact as they should.

On lane basic thumb rule is save money and buy bigger tank then other. 2 upgraded basic magic + tank cannon creeps all the lane creep. If oponent rushes lightning play little defensevly buy heavy. and so on oponent buys gobo buy earth. I have seen good lane players getting ice robot after selling all weapons 20-25 mark but he was 9-0 also on lane.

1) teleport 2 times with the char until you are at the market and buy the tinker
2) fast build towers in the middle
3) buy swarm rockets and give to a tower
4) wait for 12k money and get the weapon of 1300 range(i forget the name)
(so... the 4th maybe its a medium game..)

and... the trader... what can you do with it?? you gain more gold staying afk xD

seriously.....
in games with skilled players a tinker sux for sure if he get 3 weaps before a tank.
(2-3k weaps)
with 2 only and a hull he can handle it.

but you want to buy an acid can? mb try it.. you wont even get an elec cannon this time.
