Mines
#1
Don't you guys think that the land mines effect aircrafts is stupid. How can aircraft step on land mine? So i suggest that only ground tanks/robots and aircraft in net can be effected by land mines and there could be an air mine something big with spines(detonaters) invisibel and not invurnable. But with 95 % avoidence with X healt(i can't really deside how much health should it have). So only aircrafts (not in net) can hit in it.It could be like an item 50 sec cd cost 5000 deal 3200 dmg +5% per each weapon upgrade..Simular to the Mines,Heavy mines and Huge mines.

Actually, the mines in btanks are not pressure sensitive like you'd think. Instead, they use a sophisticated optic sensor array to shoot a beam of light directly above them. This array detects the overall shape and noobness level of any object that passes over it. If the object moving over it is a creep or an allied tank, the mine ignores it. Otherwise it detonates.

As for the explosion hitting aircraft. You do realize all air vehicles in this game are only few feet above the ground right? I mean, my sky tank needs to pull up just to go over a tree. I'm sure the mines can reach that high.

well how can the laser reach from undergrownd or it's super laser or the mines are high level of engeneering with fully invisibility abowe grown

The last thing we need is another buff to the helicopter.
Going long range in mid takes no skill, so stop telling yourselves otherwise.

In the first few versions of Battletanks, mines worked this way. It was changed, because it made flying tanks even stronger than they currently are - and it wassimpler to just make mines apply vs air than to give the air tanks some other penalty/ ground tanks some other buff.

I find it naturally that mines explodes when aircraft flies so low the ground that the explosion damages it. Also it would give the air tanks a super advantage if they mines wouldn't affect them.

Also the air tanks already have the ability to fly over obstacles so they can avoid the mines on open ground and fields.

Being able to set off mines for air via a net, still puts ground tanks at a large disadvantage. If you accept the concept of air mines, why not have combination land/air mines like we have now? As they would just use both technologies

If you really have a problem with the the mines, just say that air units take 5% less damage because they are a few metres higher than a ground tank would be. I think mines should definately effects both air and ground though and be the same. They don't have to be explained like mines like from 1945, i mean we do have lasers in this game. The reasons for the mines could be futuristic and therefore not be pressure related but rather using a high frequency electromagnetic field (like x-rays) which scans all targets above the mine. Allied tanks carry a marker stopping them from being targetted.

The mine defusers actually put a dummie marker on the mines so they "think" and enemy tank is above them causing them to detonate.

In fact i liked the idea of damage reduction. But not 5%. It must be 25% or 30% less damage. If an air tank triggers mine, it will deal full damage to air tanks and 30% less damage to ground tanks (and ground creeps). Same goes for ground tank trigger.
Because when an air tank passes through the mine, it jumps to air and explodes there. But if a ground tank passes, it just explodes on the ground. So we wont need 2 types of mines...

In fact they are "spider mines"Big Grin
