these theoretical builds can all be great in special circumstances. the best build in my mind would seek to optimize farming of creeps and buildings and potential for controlling control points while still maximizing counter advantages to enemy tank builds while keeping in mind the relative long term and short term advantages of all the tank builds in the game.
but that doesn't even consider coordinating with ally tank builds which can also be important.
in my mind the perfect build will still change constantly in many cases due to the change in game developments and also to the reaction of players strategies and builds due to these changes.
in conclusion, i think that although there are many really nice ones, there is no perfect build, and that to even attempt to explore this you should first recognize what your style of play currently is and attempt to formulate the best builds within that field and then try to expand that field. many great players have many different styles.
in other words: first find your own style and then attempt to adapt it to fit what will work best for you is my advice. in other words again: try to find something that you can win with, then keep changing it as you see fit to increase your win percentage while keeping in mind what technical or theoretical change in play you are attempting and how successful they are.
**edit: since this last version i prefer in most cases of 3 vs 3 or more players thunder tanks followed by demon tanks and sky fortresses and eventually after maxing out on gold hulls and swarms a titan. with this build i personally like to get a troop pack, orbital bombardment, 1 power pack, usually another gold hull, and the shortest range weapons i can afford like poisons, blasters, and chaos swarms (i think that's their name, the new 30k short ranged weapons). i just don't like to get the second gold hull after i made my power pack right away in most cases since i prefer the attack power of a weapon over the superior defensive power of a boring hull in most cases. but i definately am not shy about going with earth tank even in a 5vs5, 4vs5, or 5vs4.
in most cases of a 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 i usually get an earth tank since i've had so much success with it. i won't call it imba since i've not tested it enough though. you have to know how to play it though. and understand that something like a sky fortress can be very bothersome even if you are using net.

Why's the rothchild family crest and the illuminati symbol on my 1 dollar bill? Why do rich and powerful American "christian" leaders have gay sex and worship a giant 40 foot stone owl at Beach Grove every year? Why doesn't anyone care?
