It took noobs a long time to learn to use death magic (the player killer one), mines, and explosives to defend against more skilled players (usually as a tinker or hellicopter upgrading straight to titan). all these tactics have recently taken severe blows to the face and T.K.O.'d by my new champion and personal hero, exodus!!! lol!
i just want to say a special "thank you" to exodus for buffing mine diffuser, adding cp force upgrade advantage, taking away death magic option, and not allowing exploding in no exploder mode. i was suprised you went so far and i actually feel a little sorry for the noobs but then i spend a lot of time just laughing and laughing now in public games so it's definately still got a large enjoyment factor for me. no more must i constantly be playing air ship or else buying endless amounts of tp breakers to avoid exploding noobs! gone are the days of waiting for a titan to get rid of massive mine fields! No more must i dance around a base full of 5 guys in hellies and air ships with nothing but gold hulls and death magics in their inventory slots who are like angry killer bees that chase me away whenever i get close and "disturb" their hive! Tinker towers are crushed by adv troop packs with never before seen speed and ease now! lol!
now i wonder what all the noobs who were using those tactics will do, give up and play castle fight and their sister's hanah montana video game, or learn to play better and actually attack and defend cps? lol!
I don't think i've had a game over 40 minutes under the current force upgrade system yet. I really love it. Has anyone had any long games with 8.58? I'd still like to see exploder balanced and not just taken out of the game especially since it's sort of a pain to click out the custom options and sometimes i missclick an option becasue i'm in a hurry. it would be nice to just click "normal" but really it's still fantastic all around for me. I just want to go on record and apologize to all you explosive noobs and explosive lovers. i'm sorry your shitty, imba, ultra-retarded, defensive, annoying tactic was taken away. you're lucky that no exploder is just a special mode though and that explosives weren't taken out of the game completely otherwise you'd be stuck with just playing castle fight and tower defense maps. lmao!!!

A few days ago I had a game that took around 2 hours. The teams were pretty even and for a long time there was no player who had really good stats. (Only some with a few more kills than deaths.) In the end I think it was 3vs3 all titans. Unfortunately I had to do something else close to the end, so I had to go -afkai. The game went back and forth several times. That was the most balanced public game I’ve ever seen.

I think you all have seen too many bad exploders to keep refering to it as a defensive tool. That or maybe I always end up on a good team (or perhaps my offensive exploding pushes my team)? :o

Haha! im actually kinda afraid of going as exploder as im aware of the difficulty involved. So ive avoided it as a tank option. I dont want to just feeeeeed because i will be failing and failing = no fun/less fun.
Seeing a pro exploder is extremely rare as luck/skill on exploder is harder to gauge on hb mode. I have seen some very successful exploders who seemed kinda nooby or inexperienced.
99/100 games exploder has a negative ratio.
I play from au so more often than not, i get about 200ms ping from various random hosts and bots.

And of course I always ask the host/red for the mode.
If he wants to disable Exploder, I can leave.
If he disables Exploder without telling, I can pull the wire.

I can easily summarize the changes made in this version. Once you are pushed back to base, you are dead. There is absolutely no way to get out of this situation. At least, that was the case in about 20 games I played so far with 8.58. Even with equally skilled players on both teams it is like this. This practically defeats the purpose of having a base, as defending it is pointless, because you have lost anyway.
Furthermore I can add one thing to the list of changes i really hate. These are now: Junkyard, No Explosives Mode.

Please change the new CP upgrade system to reduce its impact on the gameplay.
And, of course, bring back the old No Exploder Mode.
Removing a problem is not a good way to fix it. You should instead try to balance every factor that causes the problem.

lmao! omfg! i'm sorry, i don't mean to be rude but it is so god-damned, mother-fucking funny listening to you cry about exploder. Thank you man, you really made my day just now. i'll go so far as to say that it was worth it having a few games stolen from me by imba exploding noobs just to hear you crying now.
and i've got news for you my friend, first off if you're so bad that you actually would think exploding in pub games is a good idea then i don't want you in my games so that's really no big loss anyways. and secondly i'm not going through the hassle of clicking out no exploder in my games now. it's too much hassle clicking out no exploder mode for me since i don't need to worry about exploders with the extra creep upgrades now since all i need is an advanced troop pack to take you out now. I know now that if i can be careful and get just 3 extra cps that, that you are going to be totally fucked. at the start of the game it's now finally worth it to get breakers to take and defend cps when before it really just wasn't even worth the 300 gold sometimes. later i can switch over to a nice ground tank with a lovely and very long stun for your exploder and use some more breakers to finish you off easy with plenty of phat-ass force creeps to cover me from your allies' tanks.

When i pick the Exploder, the game is already lost, so it does not make much of differnce.

Yes, i got lazy as trader and cbf to play so i just fucked around while my team slowly won. Last about an hour?
But NO, most games are short and sweet. More sweet because half the games on .58 have been as trader = autowin

I havent played THAT many games on .58 but i have been pushed back to base quite severely and beaten back, then capturing the whole map and winning. As with before the changes, you need to exploit their respawn-time in order to recapture points. If youre lucky, you can potentially take back 1-3 cps or more depending on their respawn time. Just try to kill their whole team or ninja steal a cp in order to get a new jump point for more cp ninja'ing.
Needs more testing.

All the games are long if there is not team that takes all cp... If it happens, the games end in the next 15 minutes...

there are tons of ways to turn the tides, just do some search on your own in this forum.
everyday there are new tactics and new ways discovered how to turn a lost game into a superior victory by conquering controlpoints back in 2minutes 
the original "No Exploder"-mode was just completely senseless since it only disabled the purchase of the Exploder tank, every other tank could still suicide itself, so the only thing disabled in no exploder technicaly was the reconstruction ability.

everyone seems so fixated on my anti-exploder obsession so i'll just make a little reminder post real quick...
i don't hate exploder!
exploder is fun as fuck!
i have 3 problems with exploder as i've said before, which are:
1. explosives on other tanks than exploder is retarded-ass shit. really annoying and imba noob tactic if you have an extra teamate in my opinion.
2. cp tp with exposives is ridiculously imba tactic especially in your own base.
3. reconstruct is waaaaaaaaaaay too powerful to be left to so much chance.
maybe i don't know what i'm talking about but that's just the way i feel about it. you guys i really think expolder is a fun tank but at the same time it's like it's a fucking "i win" button when having an extra teamate, asuming you just have the intelligence of an average 11 year old. it's one thing if a teamate gets radar and troop pack and goes after enemy tp breakers and they just really work together and barely scrape out a tough back and forth win. that's not what i'm against. what i don't like is when 5 vs 4, or 4 vs3, or 3 vs 2, or 2 vs 1, a noob exploder and his teamates do nothing skilled but just win because the exploder takes advantage of one of the first 2 things i don't like or just gets really lucky and reconstructs a ridiculous amount of times.
A TEAM WITH MORE PLAYERS LIKE A 4 VS 3 OR WHATEVER THAT HAS AN EXPLODER SHOULD WIN, BUT NOT IF THEY ARE LIKE DOWN 30 KILLS, 6 CP'S AND ARE UNSKILLED. I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD AT LEAST HAVE TO STRUGGLE A LITTLE BIT. i'm not upset about this, i know it's tough to balance this crazy shit. i just want to make it clear what my opinion is.
