I imagine there are many things you could have done differently to make a difference in this game. Do not blame it on one exploder and 3 guys turtling with mines in their base. Your situation was not what I would consider to be the basis of this game design.
Yeah, we did flood them with creeps and those guys just hugged the artillary factory. Whenever we came close, they started using stuns and then exploder comes boom. The annoying thing with exploders is that they have very low bounty and respawn time. In an open fight, we could've beaten all of them but the fact that they are camping means:
- We had to travel long distances and they didn't
- They could put mines indefinitely
- They always have 2 towers protecting them
- They have regen
- They could teleport to us while we couldn't teleport to them
So, it's not really about changing the game to make it so people can win 2 vs 4 more easily but that the team on defense are given ridiculous amount of advantages even when all their factories and spawn points are neutralized. In Dota, this would've triggered mega creeps and gg for the defending team and perhaps something similar should be given to the winning team rather than simply income.
