Indeed, if you know what you are doing you can counter a trader most effectively, it's not that hard (unless trader is real good, which would be the same as having a very good player against you in another chassis). This is a team game after all and I'm disappointed to know that most leaguers don't allow the most supportive (I.E. non-combattant) chassis in the game.
