Observers are not counted as active players and are thus not included to the market system (since they arent able to buy things there nonetheless).
You could still help me by telling me the colour you used in that game.

Edit: I just made a deselection script for the observers, so they do not see the market's offer as if they are enemied players.
But i don't think that the observer problem with market selection is such a great bug to deserve an additional release version.
