Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to fix this, it's hardcoded into Wc3 and I couldn't find a way to change this (you'll find this even in DotA).
Also, the host bots were messing with some basic things of BT, which I didn't want to happen. Controlling the forces and such, opened some possible abuses, which I wanted to avoid. It's theoretically possible to remove the observers and make BT into a 6vs6 map. I ensured code-wise, that this won't require that much work anymore. But as stated before, BT is made to be a 5vs5 map. Although it's not that important, you also have to keep in mind, that when BT would be a 6vs6 map, you'd always have this color issue with the minimap and not only when there are observers in the game.
This is because the forces are normally player 11 and 12, which have normal colors. But when there are observers (or two additional players) the forces can't use these slots, so they'll have to be controlled by neutral players, which have these dark minimap colors, which can't be changed.
Right now the forces are only controlled by neutral players, when there are observers. Thats the reason for the strange behaviour of the minimap colors.
