It is more about the dynamic of the game. More you suck, more it gets hard to kill/survive then you suck even more.
A "fixed income" mode would remove this problem for fun game. If each player gets the same amount of gold (like 500 gld/minute), people would less see the problem about feeders. (the difference between fedders/winners would be only experience)
