Even if the map is still protected, I could open it with my editor and access the description. However the units and triggers are gone, so how he managed to save the map without ruining the map, I've no knowledge about.
Maybe it can be easily done by editing the file itself?? :? I haven't tried saving the map in editor, but I think it will make the map unplayable.
Map protectors rips of editor files which in any means make it difficult to change things on editor level. Warcraft and the Map Editor uses 2 different data sources inside the map, and the map protectors usually removes the map editor data to make the file smaller, so the important info for warcraft is still there. It's just a matter of accessing that data...

Ok I see many idiots hosting the 9 version map, and think it's totally new! Like in castle fight description, the maker did post an attention message during maploading to ONLY download from main site to get the REAL version. I think it's a reasonable suggestion, to prevent arguing and conflict about the newest version on b.net, where most does go after the version number.
