I remember the good old days, where games actually could go over 2 hours defending, back and fort etc... removing the ability to make the factory invulnerable again shortened the game much. i dont see a game go over 40 inutes nowadays. This sucks. cant you change that back within the next patch?

Unfortunately for you there are not many people who actually want games to last 2+hours, especially public ones. Thus changing it back is unlikely.
(btw: In non-public games 2+ hour games are still possible with balanced teams)

also there has been a couple of other topics related to this change that you could have found by searching a bit. ;-)

As they are hosted private you can only see them when they are created in the channels of the popular btanks clans (on europe mostly clan BuG and clan Btnk; on us east clan btow, clan kctz, clan toaf; on us west clan bt (not sure if that is correct)). You can check those channels now and then. I'm sure you can participate in those games - just talk with the players there.

Most people, including everyone here, simply do not have 2 hours time to spend on a BT match.

*cringe*
I agree that the first few times, games like these are truly amazing and epic to play in. It's also a shame that almost all pub games will never see a late-end-game item/tank... But the problem was that almost every private game would spiral into >2 hour game. It was horrendous to play in-clan games because you had to expect a game to last that long (and almost always did).
Also, as time increases, bounty increases - making it easier and easier to collect 2000 gold and replace that laser tower to keep your HQ alive. In a long game, a defending team can turtle up in their base almost indefinitely. It was problem in long normal games, and a very obnoxious problem for the mid-game HB mode - where a defending team would be able to purchase tower after tower to keep themselves alive with little hope of the attackers being able to make the killing blow to the HQ. This "stalemate" set-up was something the Devs wanted to solve when they took out the ability to repurchase HQ invulnerability.

usually I'm too lazy to look in channels, I don't really know where to read this as I only play btanks and always go for public bots.
And yes, I do miss the late game, that's why I made this post

Again, the main reason the Devs chose to remove tower-HQ invulnerability was because it made the defense/siege needlessly long and lopsided. At the time, I think this was the most viable solution to deal with the problem. If you can think of an idea to balance it - without having players to deal with the "stalemate" scenario above - then I'm sure the idea would be taken into consideration.
Until then, if you're looking for longer games that transition to the late-end-game, your best bet is to look for a Btanks clan. Prog listed quite a few of them. The other hope is to wait for a new fast mode that increases the rate at which gold enters the game - but I think that idea is way back on the to-do list and collecting dust. :?

that's exactly why i prefer the 5k or 10k games, you don't have to waste time collecting and saving money for the good stuff, you can jump right into the action.
on normal games it will take at least 30+min before you can have enough for a ice golem + 1 good weapon.

...Because you cannot have any fun playing battle tanks without a 13k tank and an awesome weapon on top, obviously.

in my opinion the early game is the best of btanks..
to fight for every little amount of gold to get better is the interesting thing for me.
in lategame its possible to kill creeps fast and they are not longer too strong to rush through.
thats why i never play games with 5 or 10k startgold because its too lame for me^^

No reason to be sarcastic about it. It's all a matter of preference - some people enjoy the middle and end game dynamics over the early game. Personally I like it all, but seeing from personal experience that most pub-games end with late Tier II/early Tier III tanks, I can see how playing that over and over without going deeper into the end-game can feel monotonous after so many games.

And in addition: The eraly game is much more interesting because of the behaviour of all those players. Every player follows his own strategy and weapon/tank-build. In early game also makes the whole game interesting because there will be 2-3 players, who kills a lot of tanks - but that becomes unintersting in mid/late-game because the teams will concentrate on those fed people. If you jump in 5-10k gold, all those factors disappear - or moved to late game.

5K sucks, 10k even more. Tho I have no idea how to join a clan (lol), and I don't play THAT much anymore, but if any would take me so I could get into those super-secret games, I would be pleased

It is not that hard to reach them. Since you are on northrend. Join channel clan btnk or clan bug. Be careful, tell people you are newcomer when you join an intern. Don't whine, don't flame. Nothing is more annoying than people saying they are "pro" and then feeding the whole intern game.
It is not about pride, just about balance
Intern in azeroth are easier to handle if you have difficulties in northrend.
I am so good that I don't even need to type -rc because I never die !
