Ingame -rmk command
#1
This poll is only about to find out how many finds this idea good, NOT a vote for a change. If you have another suggestion, post it here

TKF Wrote:However it has been more interesting subject if you suggested cmd that would allow a vote for a ingame rmk, where mostly everyone has to agree on it. This is only valid as long as all factories at both bases are intact (cuz of the triggers depends on them being intact)
Quoted from Switch team command thread.

What about the possibility of a ingame -rmk by cmd and a vote? of 4 of 5 has to agree on it. If it's a league game, the league must be aborted first.

All stats counters will be reset during ingame rmk and the condition is that all base factories must be intact. If there is 3 players left on dark force and 4 players left on light force, the gold will be distributed as usual on rmk start.

But if it's 2vs4, during this rmk phase, perhaps a player swap could be possible, which again could sort of make the switch team feature available. But I don't know how it's like with the triggers. First a vote if everyone want the game to be balanced, then a player vote (the team with most players) check who wants to switch to the other team, then the voting of who will go over to the other team if 2 or more players wanted to switch team. If 1vs5, this will happen twice.

I don't know if this would be a useful feature, but do you find this idea good or...?

a good idea, BUT:

1. at the end of the game there are mostly only about 4 or 5 player due to the leaver.
2. the player who vote against a remake of the game will leave after the remake starts...

anyway.... the chance to have a remake with 5 players on both teams is about 0,000001 pct +/- 0,0000005 pct.... :OWink

I think it's not needed. Btw: After a quite long game it would be rather senseless, due to memory leaks the game would tend to lag more, especially on quite old computers (like mine ;D).

i think it would be nice if a game starts as 5v5 and somesone leaves in the first 3 mins...

then the admin could kick (i still want the kick command for red...) someone and make a remake with 4v4 then...

If that ever will be the case, it will become time for me to get this banlist thing too, because there are way too many noob-hosts out there that cant handle that responsibility good enough. Even the kick cmd as it is now is often misused (and causes ppl to die because of the spamming of that command, but thats another topic.)

At least when people use the in-game kick command it could potentially be far less subtle than CK, that would be a positive. The negative of course was already mentioned, even more idiots will have the ability to kick people on a whim.

then you shouldn't join games with stupid hostsSmile

some of us already have banlist, if a few more ppl sharing them, i think we can catch bad hosts realy fast.. a bad host is easier so catch then a noobish player, because there are not so much ppl hosting games outside..

Everyone has voted yes so far, and this rmk system I doubt would be easy to be implemented, (if it's going to be implemented that is). Battle tanks is only made for a single match each game. But if would be nice to have such a command, to re-create a rebalanced restarted 3vs3 game if there was some leavers during start.

TKF did Wrote:Everyone has voted yes so fat, and this...

Corrected fatal misspelling, it could be misunderstood.

if it is not much work it would be nice it this command would be implemented, but if its too much work it dont worth it imho..

but it is much work...^^

espspecially because you dont even know what you have to reset... all stats etc, remove all units, place new ones, store them into variables, remove mines, hyperspacebreakers etc for example, which need more than just a "RemoveUnit(unit)"... all items would have to be removed, spells aborted, tech levels resetted (which is impossible, it would require a different solution)... and somehow changing teams would have to be possible i think...

and if its a "serious game" you can also abort the league game, one team can giveup, and a new host with a new game namen can be decided...

The variable part isn't the major problem I think. But the tech levels would be a major problem to reset :/ (Which I didn't think of when I suggested this)
