an new tank idea:
sky fortress
prize: ~20,000 gold
basic hitpoints: ~17,500
speed: 220-240 (=very slow)
skills:
1) a passive skill, which permanently damages ground units in range of 100-400 (permanent immolation logic, just affecting ground units)
explaining why he can do this is just a little effort of creativeness. maybe it has to do with his drive system, or its a radiation.
damage increases with level
2) teleport target tank (friend or enemy) into its base
the spell requires 2-3 seconds (channeling) casting time. maybe he also may not target tanks which are in range of a cp.
cooldown reduces with level
3) passive: blocks a single target spell cast on this tank.
cooldown reduces with level
4) maybe the speed upgrade all air tanks have or an active damage dealing spell (ofc no stun)
ultimate: the sky fortress sends out little fighters which deal damage and act as a shield, as they can be attacked like creeps, but not be destroyed. the fighters disappear after a short time. its like the StarCraft Carrier unit, i think most peaple played SC.
number of fighters increase with level
its an equivalent to the new titan, and many players wanted a new air tank which is stronger than the sky tank. this is my suggestion.

Lol it's funny. First does leidnix suggest a Sky Fortress (few months ago), then I did in Tank items thread few weeks ago, now you suggest similar idea 8)
I suggested something similar like this.
Sky Fortress/Sky Carrier (model link, ugly air model with wings) ( ~18000)

right... and the previous suggestions were denied, and this one will be denied too...
the main problem is that if there is a strong air tank, everyone will buy it (if you already have so much money, you probably are the best player and can afford spending some money for flying)
and, the model, the models posted until now werent satisfying imo...

ok, the model should fit into battle tanks as well as beeing not too big in file size.
but i suggested a very, very slow air tank, so that perhaps not every player who can effort it anyhow will buy it.
so i think searched for a suitable model is worth it. if you could tell me where i can find some models, maybe i will suggest one or two i find find some.

on the pages i know (hiveworkshop, wc3campaigns) there are probably no new models, as the others also looked for models there

There is little models for air tanks to be found The model I found is the closest one, but not good enough as it's to ugly.
But what about the ingame destroyer model? (Morphed version of obsidian stature)
Or doesn't it look like a air tank perhaps? no....

its a demon, and no machine... then i'd like the frost wyrm more i think, but i dont know...
perhaps i will try to edit an existing model to create a usable air tank, but its not a high chance... and if i start doing it, it doesnt mean the product is usable later^^

ok i really understand what you mean. if the destroyer and the frost wyrm are seriously discussed for beeing a strong air tank i really believe that theres no suitable modal out there at the moment :|

hmm i think a hunter should have more speed than the tank in my suggestion. it would be the slowest tank in the game.

i would prefere a hunter, cause if we get a sky fortress, it would be just as sky tank, in my opinion

yes, a stronger one.
the demon tank is also like the heavy tank, but with more hp (and always some different skills)
the sky fortress would have more than double the sky tanks's life
but a hunter air tank would be nice too, even if i wonder if zeppelin and sky tank arent these hunters...?
they are fast...?
ok they cant stun but thats because its one of the general disadvanteges of air tanks.
whats the difference with the a hunter?

However I found a nice model. Also this Sky Fortress has a cannon, so at least one of his abilities will be a shot type ability

wow, i think this model is really awesome. it has an attack animation (useful for a spell cast) and is 151 kB big, which is okay i think. it should be worth that.

Hard to say. Even I must say it's about 50/50 chance. I'm not sure if they makings a surprise, since no one has commented yet or still considering it, or rejected it.

-This model is weird:) Horns are too bad... Cannon is very good.
-Aren't there any modeller around? This would be best thing. So you can use a model that you imagined...
-Something like Mother Ship model (in last C&C game..) would be nice...
-If its name is Sky Fortress then it should act like a fortress:) It can protect nearby tanks for a x% damage reduction for a period of time for example. 10% per level maybe... Instead of tp to base...
-And must have at least one active damaging abilty... (Ion cannon with "melee" range and average damage and single target maybe...)
-I dont know if it can be solved but weapons attacks are also counted on spell shield.
-Worst thing is Titan has only one abilty that can hit air... Where Infernal has 3 abilities so this can make infernal much valuable than a Titan. Because why Titan was good is : it is good vs ground. And its only opponent is infernal (was). Now this changes many thing.
-I wanna see a high end Sky thingy... But must be usefull (can be balanced of course later, but abilities must be usefull for money, then it will be balanced a way)

yeah, i think the titan is too weak anyway. posted in his thread.
to the spikes of the model: the texture can be changed easily i think, so if its the color which seems weird for you, it should be no problem. also, with a darker color the spikes wouldnt be that suspicious anymore.
