I`ve recently played this version and the bots are buged, they simply buy the tank, and stay in any control point without fighting; if you kill them they stuck in their base triying to teleport forever (they cant teleport)

EDIT: sorry for double post... i posted it in the Bugs section now... erase this message

Why has it increased? Reasons.

Can this be upgraded? And does it affect all other equipments which also uses radar? If so does these items get a 250 gold reduction?

O_o That was fast Big Grin

changelogs 8.34 Wrote:Demolisher has 2000 Hit Points
This was quite unexpected :?

play the map and see, range is same for all other detection items, they are cheaper and no upgrades are added

I think it is best that you do, not many people will have downloaded 8.34 and thos who did are wise enough to see that an immediate new version has come up. Better now then tomorrowWink

EDIT: just read the 3 bugfixes in the 'bugs' subforum and now i am really sure you do best with releasing 8.35 immediatly.

Wait a day or 2, in case someone come with other bugs.

New Trade Skill

I tested monopoly skill in single player, and noticed 1 thing. When it says 6 trades does it mean, you have to trade there 6 times when the message pops up, and then 7th time monopoly occurs? (I happen to skill trade skill lv2 before I got so far). I'm might be wrong here cuz I didn't get monopoly (i think 6 combo) until I skilled my trade skill to level 2. It seems like the monopoly rate doesn't follow when you level the trade skill once you started.

It was a bit confusing first time, so I haven't understood how it works yet completely...

Edit_

Also make the radar upgradeable before the next version, with 50% more range, unless you have other reasons to not add it...

Also add Mega Mines (10000). 6400 dmg. (Just kidding  , or was I?)

i think, you can release the next version (8.35) when you have more changes in the game since 8.34, not only the bugs, also some new changes like weapons modification, enviroment modification, a new weapon (i`m requesting too much whit this xD).
is only mi opinionSmile you`re the master here

I actually see no reason on delaying bugfixes release. New version may lack new features - that is quite bad, of course, but if it lacks stability - it's much worse, much...

We are not waiting to implement new features. We are waiting in case there are more bug reports. We just dont want to release 3 versions with only 2 or 3 bugfixes.

I also think that bugfixes should be released as soon as possible. There's no point playing a buggy map.

Bugs create imbalances and it ruins gameplay. They are also easier to find/eliminate in a less bugged version...

I dont think anyone cares if they have to re-download a 500k map a few times a week,

As much as I like having maps frequently updated to squash bugs, It's also helpful to not release new versions too often.

If updates to a map are released frequently, it can be difficult to keep track of which version is the latest. If someone were to not go on battle.net for a while, and multiple new versions could have come and gone in that time. Also, as with all maps, people out there screw with it creating modified versions. It can get confusing when theres multiple "official" versions, and other not so official versions being created frequently.

Now consider a system of releasing new versions at time intervals. One release every week? two weeks? month?
This way, you know when the next release will come, and can download the map from a reputable source at that time. This cuts down on the version clutter and gives some regularity to the update cycle. The only down side to this is that if a major bug that affected game play is found, it could take quite a while waiting for the next planned update.

maybe releasing a,b,c,etc versions of the same map (8.44,8.44b,8.44c) can be the solution

Lol, then it would be even more difficult to track what the newest version is (experienced that with other maps already many times).

No i must say firehelix is right, a fixed update-date is the best way to go. At first, you can choose to set the time between release dates very short (from a week to a month) and you can extend that time the more stable the map becomes. Also, when you have for example 1 map every 2 months, and there is found a major bug, you can always immediatly release another version of the same map. Noone would wine about a new map in between release dates if it is for a major bug.

Actually, thats the worst way. Fixed dates are horrible for a releaser, since you cant know what will happen (be it problems with a feature you want to add, a lot of issuses coming up before the release date or even private problems). Then a lot of people will ask whats up and where's the version?
Well, you can say that you can extend the time between two releases to an amount where you should get things done (like 2 months), but there's always the possibility that something happens right before the fixed date which will delay the release. Or why should I wait another month, when I already have everything I wanted to add in the next version?

This way, even with fixed dates, you cant say when a new version will be released, so I can see no advantages.

I see your point...

... but then again, i wonder how they do it ie. with the ubuntu releases... those dates are also fixed afaik...

...but it doesnt really matter to me, if you feel better the way it is, then it is your decision of course, no trouble here. Just thinking of ways to make life easier for youSmile

Well, it does work because the development does most likely not rely on only one or two developer and the community is much bigger than the one of BT, so there are very different circumstances. Personally, its more comfortable for me to work without a fixed date for every version, since I dont know how much time I can afford each day on developing and such things.
