I know, I haven't been on here for a long time.
*Takes beating*.
However, I come back hoping to address an issue...
While the overall talent of public btanks games has been on the rise (in US East). However, it seems that the number of hosts has gone DOWN. Finding a game is near impossible, especially over this past week. Even during relatively hot times (weekends, weeknights) I still have to spend atleast 10 minutes finding a game.
However, approximately three weeks ago I noticed an influx of hostbots. Anyone could find a game within a matter of minutes, if not mere seconds. It suffices to say that the btanks world rejoiced, people were happy and I noticed heightened activity.
Then, maybe... a week ago (?) I stopped seeing this heavenly ghostbots..... and now we are in a hosting slump.
So, I have two questions. Where are the hosts, and where are the bots?

i got a virus trying to use google to get some files for the last ghost version so i had to reformat beacause of it. i lost my extra roc cd key that slider gave me before because of fact that i forgot to write it down before i re-format. i thought i had but i guess i didn't. i asked him if he still has it and could tell it to me again but no response yet. last i heard you couldn't host on all 4 realms at once anymore also. i'm not going to try and get the new ghost unless some can get me another roc cd key. before blizzard started using warden on hosts my bot was hosting around 50 to 75 games a day on all 4 realms so ya, what can i say other than blizzard sucks a big dick!? btanks was becoming much more popular and competitive but blizzard's making it a fucking pain in the ass to keep ghosts running now. as soon as they fuck up the bots again some one finds a fix for the bots. then blizzard does something different and another fix is necessary. each time we have to either get a new ghost version or else try to fix it with other programs. the process is sort of retarded and a pain in the ass.
so what's the solution? quit crying and get your own fucking ghost bot! if i had a genuine windows i never would have got that virus and i could run ghost better and easier with more admins but i don't feel like paying bill gates a bajillion dollars for his shitty os, and i don't feel like hacking it and possibly getting caught. but i don't see why none of you guys can't get your own ghost bots? even without the extra cd keys you can run autohost from lan mode while you're sleeping or not using your computer if you're that concerned about the low btanks activity. it's either that or we all play shitty, suck-ass, stupid dota untill our brains explode.

wont make sense if every player would use his own host bots.. mass open games with only 2 or 3 players...
im happy if someone hosts games with his bot(s) but they are not necessary

ummm... dude, are you fucking serious? fuck no, there's no fucking way to contact blizzard and get this changed. they are trying to maximize profits. it's some fucking dickhead mananger who's made a decision to fuck all other custom maps other than dota dude. btanks was getting too popular so they crushed it on purpose. at least that's still my opinion about it. i can't say i'm sure i'm right, but consider that the recent bnet changes have hurt ghost bots the most. they didn't give a shit about them when ghost was mainly used for dota at first which is what it was originally designed to do.
it's as simple as this...

he gets hired at blizzard becasue they want to make more money and they think this guy can help them do that.
now what's this guy going to think? can anyone guess what he's thinking? he's fucking thinking that if their blizzard "custom map", dota gets over taken by btanks or any other map then he's going to have to cut exodus or other mappers in on his profits and that he'll have to start advertising and promoting a new map which will cost him more money. so what's this prick going to do? well, he did what we all just saw, he does everything he can to decrease btanks and other non-dota custom maps from being hosted. that way they can keep having gay dota tournaments, his freinds are happy, he's happy, and they don't have to guess at anything. they don't want to guess or have vision. they only want to maximize profits on what they know will make them money already. it's as simple as that. just watch dragon ball evolution if you don't know what i'm talking about then i think you'll understand what i'm thinking. i could be wrong but i really fucking doubt it in this case.
as i said before, the only way to really force them to give up on dota is to get more ghost bots hosting what maps we really want to play and like.
