Question about items that attack multiple units

I have a question about items like Light Fantastic and Darkness cannon. If there is only one unit on the screen will both the attacks hit that same unit, or will just one?

They all will attack the same unit, if there's only one target within range.

theyll attack the same unit, but its hard to see since all the missiles have the same animation and missile speed.

e.g. if you buy 4 energy torpedos all of them can focus into one,

and/or darkness cannon etc focuses into one.

i really like the fire arrow, but ive always wonderd if ur surrounded by creeps and its fireing at a bunch of em does it do the full dmg to all the targets? or is the dmg spread out among the creeps.

In the tooltips of such weapons you can see in the damage part something like that: 100 (x2)
This means, that every projectile of this weapon deals 100 damage and there are two of them, so this weapon will deal 200 damage each time it fires. It doesnt matter if there is only one target around or more, the shots will either all hit one unit or spread over more, but the dealt damage is the same after each fire interval.

The info about the bonus damage when upgrading your weapon is related to the damage a single projectile does.
