End Allied Base Bombing
#1
Isn't it annoying when someone is dead weight the entire game, and as a last thing to put on top of the pile of flaming crap, he sells all his things, buys bombs and blows your own base to bits? Sure you kick him/he leaves afterward, but now you're had a horrible disadvantage and losing is now guaranteed.

To end such poor sportsmanship, allies shouldn't be able to place bombs within their own base. Basically, you could implement a trigger like that of when you place a factory. If a bomb is placed in base, it displays a message ("You can't place a bomb in your own base.") and puts the bomb back in your inventory.

BTW, I have two users who should be banned. They sucked the entire game, so in a piss fit they bombed their own base:

well, you can't place a bomb when you still got 2 factory or more could be better! Because to destroy the last offensive it's really hard without a bomb to destroy those ennemies factory and tankSmile

It negates the fact that quitting gets your name banned on some bots.

Essentially it's a good loophole for them. Mines also do the same thing.

If someone bombs your base it's probably because you are losing anyway, or winning.
Either way who cares? I was playing a game on a hostbot and my ally did exactly that
and you know what? I didn't fukin care because it lets me play more games then sitting
in the same game another 15 mins. Fuck that. If you know you won, you won. And if you
know you lost, you lost. Don't cry about it and that happens very rarely when I play anyway.

Hey, xynaes, i'm proud that you registeredWink

Yeah, you mentioned that yesterday in the game.
I guess it wouldn't hurt if we raise the "protection" of the own base factories (while the protecting towers are still "alive") a bit more concerning BT 8.68. Or the hitpoint regeneration.
For the sake of luck, it already became rare. But in one of twenty games there sometimes is someone.

That way, the bombs will deal the full damage if your base already lost its towers (-> you may have lost anyway), but in case you're winning, it doesn't annoy you or prevents you from winning.
~Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them so much~

People should know that it makes no difference, both will show up as "left voluntary" and won't help not getting banned

allied bombing is indeed annoying as hell.

i've been on severals (about a dozen games) where this crazy fuck sold all his stuff and started bombing our own base
and the reason behind? he didn't like the newbie on our own team that didn't listen to what he said, i mean common WTF? let the guy play his own game everyone got to learn their own ways.

there was another game like that but in this case the guy was an admin of the bot, and started banning everyone in his team, and then sold his stuff and started bombing the base, i was like WTF? Confusedhock:
such a bad sore looser.

and on most of these instances the game just started, it was not even 5 min into the game

yeah the first 5 min is critical but it's not the end of the world if you die a here and there from the long range noobs or snipers as some likes to call it here Big Grin

As for most bots, left voluntarily or kicked, still counts as Left the game and it goes towards your getting ban scores ratings

one solution could be that bombs placed in own base dont do damage to allied buildings .. !?
maybe a bit stupid xD dunno what do you think?

other solution could be that you only can place a bomb if all "force factories" are gone.. something like thatWink

I agree with this. Why do we still allow the only way to teamkill? Instead of removing damage entirely, we put reduced damage? We never attempted to balance hb, we just got rid of it. There are extreme cases where you might actually want a bomb in your own base, i.e. they have a factory in there, but if they have a factory in your base you lost already. The bomb should not be put back into the inventory, if they attempt to tk then they lose their cash.
Going long range in mid takes no skill, so stop telling yourselves otherwise.

??? LOL! what if they bomb the base and don't actually cause the last hit then?
I really don't see how blowing up your own base will show that you left the game anyway.

Steps are simple, wait a day and make new acct bomb again.

Sorry, i may missunderstood you, i thought you meant some people would provoke to be kicked by their teammates and I wanted to clear that leaving or be kicked makes no difference from the bots point of view, both will be stored as "[...] left voluntarily" in the database/log.

Having allied building immune to bombs, means that it would be possible to wipe out the opposing team, at your base with one for no repercussion.

I, would much rather have it that a bomb must be placed within range of an enemy unit/building if placed within your own base.

That way you can still use it to clear enemy factories, and/or camping multiguards in your base.

But still, leavers can be cocks by getting mines and remote detonator to blow up allies
or being exploder and offing themselves and all their allies.

they can also feed by placing upgraded factories where they are easily removed etc etc

Getting rid of allied base bombing will not prevent people from being dicks if they want to.
