U get awards for most kills, chat ect.

But.....why dont u get for Assist???

Should been done.

Um, you do it's the last thing in the list. I just find it funny the value never matches the number in the corner. I had 48 assists one game but it displayed 27 at the end.

The number on the mutliboard shows the support points. The assists are only a part of that. You also get support points for capturing CPs, buying upgrades or buildings, etc.
