last time i did a vote for making it normal mode just to see what the vote would be like. this time i'm just trying to see if a request to bring it back at all would be well liked.

it's possible people who don't like hb are voting more than once. kind of like how on northrend many of the players have a lot of accounts they use for various nefarious purposes. Nothing i can do about it if people are though. I thought the vote would at least be closer but oh well, guess not so far!

yes they need to bring back hb to not lose the popularity of this map. Hb was a good mode and need to comeback for pub game. I think that 5alt is a really good mode and is mixing HB with Normal but HB was another perfect mode in the game. I accept that every NORMAL player can PWN good HB player but the game became popular with HB not when it was 8.40 with a flying trader and a trading shop.

Reasons against:
-arguments about player's skill... is it bringing too many new players?
-arguments about balance --> if you are good does changing the mode change the game? (No, it doesn't --you'll still play well)

I listed out why many of the arguments against HB were completely trivial or nonsense in another topic. The voters here disagree so there is no point. Sure you can be elitist if you own the map and can tell people what to think if they are helping you mod the map. I don't care. I know of at least a dozen people who would like an HB game now and then. Would they bother posting here? Probably not because of fear of being flamed off this board completely and that's a problem.... (not to you is it?) That's how uninviting discussing this topic is. Anyone who has stopped by any typical Btanks clan channel gets exactly that kind of a statement, kicked or banned for suggesting they like HB at all. Why the board here follows suit isn't logical. The point is that a bad player is a bad player and a good player is a good player. Changing the mode does not affect that statement very much if you really think about it.

Hard to determine which mode is more popular, yes. At least without all the bot data... But Annabot was (and still) quite a popular bot nonetheless.

These numbers were posted by Icono a little while back when 8.55 was still around.

These stats are directly from Anna and only reflect 5khb games.
Anna hosts an average of 80 games per day of 5k hb.
She hosts on 3 realms at the same time and has players from all 3 realms at the same time in a game
Anna has hosted 13119 games at the time of this posting
54338 players were from Europe.battle.net
37969 players were from useeast.battle.net
38217 players were from uswest.battle.net

I found in my other topic replying to kheg is a complete waste of time.

LOL notice how he asks for us to prove something about HB being hosted more. This does not need to be proven, at the time it was common knowledge. This implies that since HB was becoming so prolific that the map makers decided to end it completely. If such was not the case, then we never really did have a problem to begin with. So it is only reasonable to assume that TOO many people were playing HB in lieu of Normal Mode.

Do you get the point now? Either HB isnt' a problem and noone was playing it anyway OR HB was a problem because too many people were playing it.
There is only one correct answer to this. But HB isn't inherently a problem! Popular preference in relation to this community is.

I'm for hb and since it has been removed a played btanks only one time, because normal mode needs to much time and is to slow.

But

This vote can only fail, because 95% of the bnet players never look into such forums. Only the players which want to play the game realy serious are here and they're only a small part of the btanks player. The other part want only a short funny game, they don't want to play the game professional...

@btanks mappers: Remove the hb mode was the greatest fail I've ever seen around this map. Its like you wanted that btanks become unpopulary. Its like Icefrog would remove 95% of the heros ... ( that shouldn't be a flame, but I had to writ it down ... Your map is gifted with popularity and you want to kill it because some player like to play serious? wtf? ) But hey,you don't have to listen to us you can let it as it is, but then you've also to see how btanks slow vanish.
