Quote:but he must do any kind of fighting. he can't just have a big area of sight, wheres the advantages? how does he level up and gets money?
I didn't mean he can't fight, but his purpose should not be "advantage for creeping" ^^
Quote:i dont think it is useful to implement tanks into BT just for some rare modes like fog.
I agree, but even without fog mode, it can be an useful tank. If you see many demolisher, using scout may be useful :p
Quote:i think these abilities have no chance to get implemented with a scout. no need to discuss that he shouldnt be a cheap, super strong starting tank.

the tank should be used to creep ONLY, not to fight against another tanks. where is the problem? the ability to see invisible units in a certain range could be useful against the demolishers mines. otherwise, with a low hp, he would be dead immedieately. the area-dmg is made for a group of creeps. you dont kill a tank only with area-dmg.

the ability to see invisible units could be a normal (passive) ability (range increased with each level), the ability to become invisible the ultimate (first level: 6)

I see a path to imbaness in creeping, due to its specialization and the nice "escape-skills", I mean it can be invisible, detect mines, how is the tank not gonna be either too good or too fragile?

I'm just afraid that it will become too if it has an excellent escape skill - invisibility - combined with near immunity to mines (which would benefit the team as well I guess, since everybody could see them, right?), and a specialization in creeping. It would make a lot of money, be killed less likely than other starting tanks, and could still adapt a strategy to kill other tanks, or make enough money to switch to a superior tank / item / weapon faster than others. Surely this can be worked out, I'm not saying the concept itself is imba, I just want to address the dangers that come with it right away ;-)

maybe we kick the invisibility.
my idea at detecting invisible units: the units are so long visible as they are in a certain range, and still only visible for the scout itself. if the unit lays out of range again, the unit is invisible for all players (except the other team, of course)

could you please say why it will not be implemented?
is it the concept, the model, or is it just that you have no time?

Creating and testing a tank takes some time, so it will just dont make it into the next version

Dude, give 'em a break, it'll have to wait, I don't think the next version should be postponed just because of a new model implementation. It's better if the next version is released as planned, and then there could be either a version with just the new tank, or a normal version with the usual adjustments and fixes plus the new tank.

I think scout has a better chance of being added than the air tank model due to it's low filesize. But so far 4 of 7 voted no.
Though I have to admit, that I like the scout model less than the demon space ship model.
