and since when is a titan required for victory?
Speeding up the game changes the balance of almost everything else.
Cooldown items/abilities become less effective, since they get less uses.
Slow tanks become weaker, since the lost time in moving around is worth more.
Creeps become weaker, since there are less waves.
etc....
If your argument for changing the income timer is solely to make the game play faster, then you are out of luck.
Speeding up the game, while keeping everything else balanced required more than 1, 2 or even 5 changes.
It needs to be faster because being in a lane is inferior to just going around and ganking.
It should be relatively balanced in that the players who gank have to be successful at least
most of the time to stay on par with a person staying in a lane. With creeps being harder
to kill, comes the fact that hero tanks will be harder to kill.
You can argue here by 1 of 2 points, let the tanks be "easier to kill" and everyone waits
while ganking proceeds to cause kill ratios 2:1 at 20 mins, which is "GG" ==OR== you can reward
the players who are not feeding and are in a lane to allow them to farm more gold to
compensate for the fact that 1 team may be just "roaming" around ganking.
The free gold introduced into the game is not fair. Once a team gets over the hurdle of
accumulating enough weapons to gank the other team needs to be able to come back from
the loss... and I don't mean by waiting for another income so they can get some cheap tank
like hunter.
BTANKS can already be a very short game regardless of mode. It is the balancing for teams
who are both skilled that is the problem here. When you assign the gold in the manner I suggest
you get a more dynamic game for the upper level players. And this will translate directly to the
HB players. It will help the players who are inherently good but do bad be good.
