The main problem with a player staying tinker is they can't defend other CPs.

I'm going to say this now, if the problem with tinker is that 99% of players that use it are bad, then removing tinker won't fix the problem. You'll still be left with tons of bad players, and them not playing tinker won't make things any better. Consider keeping track of these things, whenever these "greedy tinkers" as you talk about change tanks (if they ever do change tanks lol) notice how they play and I see they usually just feed/farm and not contribute to the team effort at all.

And they keep this behaviour and don't improve cause they still can play tinker. If they can't use their lame tinker tech anymore, they would start to feed more, farm less, then feed more leaving them 2 choices: stop playing cause they don't have fun since they suck or improving.
