how does going from start tank > demon tank imbalanced? both teams can do it if they choose -- or you can use your gold to constantly improve your tank while the other player is saving, and then kill him with your better tank. what? the window is half as long for you to take advantage of your better tank? thats okay because you get twice the bounty for killing his tank while he saves. most of the arguments in this thread are contradictory and invalid.
this is a classic case of the development team trying to use logic to justify their emotions. if you like normal more than hb, play normal; i dont know why you needed to remove a popular mode completely.

High bounty practically skips important parts of the gameplay.
How would you explain such a mode removal as "emotion"? I can tell you that we did not remove the mode without any doubts and discussions. But afterall, i also noticed that the removal was necessary and is making sense in terms of gameplay nowadays.
Tell me, how is "normal" worse than "high bounty"?

If you believe in what this topic says your games cant be that long anyway no matter what mode you play
*Edit: My opinion is that short games are boring most times. 50% are unbalanced for some ppl leaving or lagging out and the rest is unbalanced as the one team has much weaker players in team then the other team has.
The long games are the interesting ones because you really have to "work" for your win. ( boring game)

The average game time in the current normal mode after the remake is somewhat between 25 and 40 minutes and reaches from Tinker to Sky Fortress tanks.
We can check that so exact by the League Beta stats we are tracking.
Also, I'd imagine a situation, where i'd reach a Titan after 20 minutes, incredibly boring (that's not related to the removal but a fact that came into my mind in this very moment  ).
And i dare to state that a time around 25-40 minutes is neither to short nor too long.

try taking the average game length of normal games with 10 players that all stay the entire game, theres no way its between that range unless its all downloaders on one team or something

both of them are still with us and gives some good input, even if they do not edit the map anymore and mostly only write on the upper levels ( beta team, devteam and mappers ). check out their profils and you see when they were last active on the forum. ^^

I personally like long games. Though it becomes some boring after 2h..
Maybe high bounty was shorter but fun was also shorter..
What makes a game shorter can be adjusted by dead time. And not making game boring also.
There can be an adjusting mode for dead time: normal(as it is now) , long(13sec + Bounty/2700), xlong(16sec + Bounty/2200).

HB is only shorter if one team sucks the same with normal. It is not about shorter games, but about the balance in hb. I think hb is balanced, but it is even more important to not feed in hb so What about a version with HB and feeder script? would that be an idea? I mean this other stuff about Gold sharing with whole team really cant work, because, once a team is better it would be just like the whole team was fed. if only a single player is fed, u can try catchin up buy concentrating on the others. And with the feeder script, u can maybe avoid that someone gets overfeeded.

I already stated that I dont care if HB comes back or not.
I think ppl are too serious about this, if you really love HB and hate the rest just host 8.65 yourself and thats it.

Saying "how is normal worse than high" is the same as saying "how is high worse than normal" -- only thing is that actions have already been taken to completely remove HB. Your circular argument relies on an appeal to popularity and you know you have that here. Weak argument.
Your name is in red letters Paladon and I'm asking you to either provide the documentation behind this change -- open a page that the dev team agreed upon and the reasons or at least answer me these questions:
1) Why was it necessary to remove HB?
2) What exactly is making sense in gameplay nowadays?
3) What are these "important parts" of gameplay that are skipped?
Quite honestly if you reply to this, prepare to get owned harder than the guy on page one by me.

To my opinion, HB didnt bring much imba,but the people who played it did.
In our clan HB games, never a game ended within 1 hr because players were balanced. Nobody would complain the game had imba problems. Every1 enjoyed the fun that HB game brought to us.
