If someone posts a replay here when the ghost tank is outstanding in a game for unbalanced reasons, perhaps rebalance will be considered. Until then the Ghost tank will probably remain unchanged.

I've seen the soul collector in action, and at level 5, it's quite useful. Someone will probably mean it's to imba when he buy troop command, it is almost invincible. Well I say it's just a good combo.
I also seen the drains imbaness in some situations, but it also have weaknesses. You can stop it with stun ability or move outside range. Also ghost tank has to remain immobile while draining.
The ultimate is just a creep healing aura. It gives the creeps more durability by healing them.

But he benefits more from a living creeps than a dead one and 50 HP more. The Ultimate heals 56 HP/sec on level 5, which means that the creep can actually tank more HP per second then he would gain from his death. And most of the time there are more than just one creep around ...

You're speaking of the ulti as he always have it on lv5, which means that the ghost tank must be lv22! I actually never seen a ghost tank in lv22, so that scenario is very rare (I've actually never seen a rush game where someone buys ghost tank). In normal combat I expect this skill to be at the levels 1-3, rarely lv4. Which means it heals 28-42. Then the ghost tank user usually switch to a stronger tank.
Otherwise I find the soul collector quite strong

.... well. Then take the example with his Ultimate on level 1, in this case it takes two seconds in which the creep can tank more HP than the amount you'll get when it dies. In other words, when a creeps lives two seconds longer due to the Ghost Tank level 1 Ultimate its already better then dying instantly. That was the point.

2 seconds isn't so much... Is it only healing the creeps?
It's quite good when the ghost tank just pushes troops and heals them without resistance from enemy tanks, while allowing allied troops to be healed. I think the heal then lasts for much more than 2 seconds...

In 7.55 it was:
ulti healed 20 + 5 pr level
sould collector did restote 8 hp pr level.
It didn't have soul drain, but a weird mind control ability.
I don't remember dead spell, probably quite similar
I think the summon dead skill was very strong in 8.04 if I don't remember wrong, which was first nerfed in 8.10, which again was nerfed in 8.27. Otherwise I don't know when these abilities we're changed. Probably when the version changed into 8.00 perhaps. I started to play BT when 8.03 was released (8.04 was released shortly after)
Edit: I played a game with the ghost tank and find it ok as it is. Soul collector skill is quite useful, espesially with troop command. Also the enemy tank try to nuke me, I often almost got killed cuz the healing effect of the soul collector ^^. Making it hard for the enemy to calculate correct time for a killing blow. I don't think it should be nerfed. But I must try to skill drain to check how it is in next game...

His ultimate is hardly useless. It provides good shielding when creeps are near, especially if you use troop command in your ghost tank.
